Fitness Advantage owner, Kathy McLean, is recognized for her ability to impart an enthusiasm for fitness with her clients and staff. An eleven-time Boston Marathon runner as well as avid boxer, Kathy knows the dedication and commitment needed to obtain personal goals.
She has extensive experience in working with all levels of fitness including athletes, beginners and those with special health concerns. She holds various national certifications including ACSM Certified Personal Trainer, AAFA Group Instructor, USA Boxing Coach Certification, and Stott Pilates.
Marianne has been active in the fitness community for over 20 years and has played many roles within it. As a teacher for Fitness Recourse Associates, she has prepared hundreds of students for the American College of Sports Medicine Personal Training Certification.
She is the author and presenter of several workshops that provide continuing education for exercise professionals. She holds a degree in health and fitness form Springfield College and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in human movement from Boston University. Her certifications include trainer and instructor certifications form ACSM as well as a yoga teacher (200 hour level) certification.
Todd Sawyer has stepped inside the ring for over 26 years. The veteran boxer has competed and conquered the best in route to becoming a Golden Gloves finalist.
He gained his style of training while serving the country for the 82nd Airborne.
Todd is a strong motivator and a dynamic USA Boxing certified coach who fosters a positive training environment to help his clients overcome self-doubt and perceived limitations. His attention to detail and mechanics helps his clients achieve and exceed their fitness potential.
Todd has been instrumental in establishing boxing programs at various facilities and has been a major contributor to their success.
Brian is a USA Boxing Certified coach and AFAA Certified group fitness instructor. A lifelong athlete who played college hockey and baseball at Norwich University has make him a great addition to our staff. Brian prides himself on his motivational and leadership skills that he honed as a commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps and the US Army. Staying in shape and helping others to do the same is a passion Brian likes to share with his students. He is a professional firefighter who understands that functional fitness is very important for almost every profession, and every lifestyle. Brian’s classes are physically challenging and fun. Your confidence will soar after one of his classes.
